FSSA slashes child care reimbursement for providers

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The Indiana Family and Social Services Administration is slashing vouchers for child care.

Child care providers will get less in reimbursements as a result.

Family and Social Services said 55,000 Hoosier children from low-income families have relied on Child Care and Development Fund vouchers since July. The fund is part of a federal program that helps low-income families pay for child care so parents can work, go to school, or attend training.
