Indiana State Police Master Trooper promoted to sergeant

INDIANAPOLIS – The Superintendent of the Indiana State Police, Anthony Scott, recently announced the promotion of Master Trooper Timothy A. Grayson to the rank of Sergeant. Sergeant Grayson will serve as an Employment Services Recruiting Coordinator.

Grayson, who is originally from Gary, Indiana, graduated from Emerson High School in 1990 and earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Criminology from Indiana State University in 1994. On October 24, 2004 he graduated from the 64th Indiana State Police Recruit Academy. He was appointed as a Trooper assigned to the Indiana State Police Post in Lowell, where he served for six years.

In 2011, Grayson was transferred to the Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Division (CVED) to serve as a CVED officer until 2017. From 2017 to 2025, he served as a School Bus inspector in Area I, responsible for overseeing and ensuring compliance with 69 school organizations in the northwest region of Indiana…
