First case of noncitizen illegal voting uncovered in Indiana

INDIANAPOLIS (WFFT) — Indiana Secretary of State Diego Morales says he referred a verified case of noncitizen voting to law enforcement. This case, found in Vigo County, involves a noncitizen who voted in multiple elections since 2018, Morales announced Friday.

The individual was identified through a new verification process requiring proof of citizenship for voter registrations linked to temporary credentials issued by the Bureau of Motor Vehicles.
