An Indiana man has been sentenced to 14 years in prison, with two years suspended, for kidnapping his girlfriend and her young children before going on a violent spree from Elkhart to Indianapolis, according to authorities.
Dhantori Honorable was sentenced in Marion County on Wednesday, September 10, after pleading guilty in July to several serious charges, including kidnapping with a deadly weapon, unlawful possession of a firearm by a violent felon, kidnapping a child under the age of 14, criminal recklessness, domestic battery in front of a child, domestic battery of a child, auto theft, and resisting police.
The alleged series of crimes began on January 17, 2024, when Honorable allegedly shot his 61-year-old grandfather in Elkhart. He is currently awaiting trial for the shooting, as well as several other offenses in northern Indiana…
