Health department finds 4 violations at Washington Square Mall, appears in court this week

INDIANAPOLIS — Music still plays, dim lighting flickers and business spaces sit empty at Washington Square Mall on Indianapolis’ far east side.

Property manager Keith Lee Jr. said the property’s owners, Durga Property Holdings, inherited problems when they bought the mall in 2019 and that the pandemic made conditions worse.

“Countless problems since we’ve had the property … I mean a lot of them things that we did take care of over time, it just kept getting worse and worse,” Lee said…
