INDIANA — A Shelbyville woman has been arrested on child neglect charges after police say her 22-month-old child was found dead in a driveway late Wednesday night.
According to the Shelbyville Police Department, officers responded around 10:45 p.m. to the 900 block of Hale Road following a report of an unresponsive child. The area is a housing development off Miller Avenue near the Big Blue River.
Police said they arrived to find 22-year-old Sophie Igou outside with her child, who was lying in the driveway. Officers attempted first aid but determined the child was already deceased…
