21-year-old man charged with murder, attempted murder in Greenwood shooting

FRANKLIN, Ind. (WISH) — A 21-year-old Indianapolis man was formally charged Friday with murder and attempted murder in connection to a shooting on Tuesday night in Greenwood.

The Johnson County Prosecutor’s Office filed charges against Isiah Quin Peak Jr. in Johnson Superior Court 4 in Franklin. An initial hearing was set for 2:30 p.m. Monday. He was being held Friday in the Johnson County jail in Franklin without bond, although a bail review also will happen Monday, online court records say.

According to the probable cause affidavit, Peak was involved in a fight with a female over pictures and videos on his phone, which escalated when he retrieved a firearm. The affidavit said the situation intensified when Peak shot at the female’s brother, missing him but fatally striking Bidan Mburu, a bystander who was uninvolved and returning to his apartment…
