INDIANAPOLIS — The number of incarcerated women in Indiana is on the rise.
The ACLU of Indiana’s “Blueprint for Smart Justice” report indicated between 2009 and 2019, the number of women in Indiana prisons grew by 9% compared to the population of men in prison, which dropped by 4%.
