INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The Marion County Public Health Department’s ACTION Health Center will offer free flu shots at two clinics in Indianapolis next week.
Flu shots will be available from 8 a.m. – 12 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 7, and from 1 – 5 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 9, at ACTION Health Center, 2868 Pennsylvania St. Appointments can be made by calling (317) 221-3400.
“Getting the flu shot is the most effective way to protect yourself and family from influenza,” Dr. Millicent Moye, director of ACTION Health Center, said in a release. “Vaccinated people are less likely to get the flu, and if they do, they are less likely to experience severe flu-related illness, hospitalization and even death.”…
