“It’s October 3rd.” – Aaron Samuels
Today, we celebrate Mean Girls Day. We (well, many of YOU) are also celebrating the release of the new Taylor Swift album (and, if you know me well, you’ll be mildly shocked to know that I listened to it in its entirety. It was…fine. Let’s fight it out in the comments :] )
My trip to Glacier was amazing and transformational and scary and dirty and smelly and gorgeous and healing. In addition to a couple of shirts, a stack of magnets and postcards, and a stuffed mountain goat, here is a complete list of souvenirs:
-
A new system to deal with acrophobia
-
About 28947463838575 new inside jokes
-
An obsession with Mountain House freeze-dried chicken and dumplings
-
A full-body aversion to trail mix and protein bars
-
The revolutionary experience of healing one’s tired feet in a clear, frigid glacial lake (followed by the “factory reset” experience of dunking one’s whole body in”)
-
A new appreciation for clean fingernails
-
A healthy dose of perspective
-
A defiant resurgence of goodwill toward humanity, despite whatever the hell we’re doing to each other
-
An overflowing store of love for the homies
-
Lots of pictures like this one…
