MURFREESBORO, Ark — An Indiana man found a 2.71-carat white diamond on his second visit to the Crater of Diamonds State Park in Murfreesboro on Oct. 2, according to Arkansas State Parks.
Dewy White and his wife stopped at the state park as their first stop on the road trip of a lifetime. The couple spent two digging and sifting through the 37.5-acre search area before heading out to their next destination.
As they made their way back home, they revisited the park for three more days. White wrapped up his five days at the Crater of Diamonds State Park by finding his very own diamond in the Canary Hill area by the south wash pavilion, thanks to a stranger’s directions…
