Police identify remains of woman missing from Indy since 1999

SPENCER, Ind. (WISH) — Human remains found in 2003 have been identified as an Indianapolis woman missing since 1999, the Indiana State Police said in a news release issued Monday night.

Deanna Smith’s remains were found in 2003 in the area of South Franklin Road in Owen County, the release said.
