Fishers Police Hunt for Suspect Cornelius Anthony Lyles Accused in Facebook Marketplace Armed Robbery

The Fishers Police Department is currently on the search for a man named Cornelius Anthony Lyles, who is now facing multiple charges after an alleged robbery. The robbery involved a transaction arranged through Facebook Marketplace that took a dangerous turn when the suspect reportedly took out a weapon. According to the Fishers Police Department’s Facebook post, Lyles is wanted on charges of armed robbery, intimidation, and theft related to the incident that occurred on August 15.

During the encounter, Lyles allegedly displayed a handgun to the victim and is claimed to have firmly stated his intention to take the listed item while threatening the victim’s life if they were to resist. Following the altercation, Lyles is accused of stealing both the item up for sale and the victim’s phone. The police were able to recover the discarded phone later, revealing fingerprints that belonged to both the victim and Lyles, as detailed by the Fishers Police Department’s forensic unit.
