ISP conducts I-70 special patrol which led to over 25 arrests

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Indiana State Police conducted a special patrol session on Interstate 70 Friday night that led to over a dozen arrests.

Multiple ISP troopers conducted the special patrol where officers issued:

  • 27 warnings
  • 20 traffic arrests
  • 4 misdemeanor arrests
  • 1 OWI
  • 4 criminals arrests

Sergeant Matt Ames with the Indiana State Police Putnamville Post says special patrols are very important to their agency.

“It allows our troopers to work as a team in a high crash area with a purpose to make the roadways safe for all motorists,” said ISP Sgt. Ames. “We will continue to have special patrols in the future, and they will be with a purpose looking for aggressive drivers, distracted drivers and intoxicated drivers.”…
