In a recent operation by the Indiana Crime Guns Task Force (ICGTF), three individuals were taken into custody on various firearms and narcotics charges, IMPD News reports on social media. The arrests, which took place on October 3, began with a traffic stop that led to the apprehension of 30-year-old Antoine Divine Jr. and 33-year-old Joharie Fields, both of whom are facing charges for unlawful possession of a firearm and possession of narcotics; Divine was also arrested on an outstanding local felony warrant.
Subsequently, as a search warrant was executed at a residence, a 17-year-old male attempted to escape, but was detained while carrying a handgun modified with a machine gun conversion device, alongside the possession of marijuana, the juvenile faces charges for possession of a machine gun, dangerous possession of a firearm by a minor, dealing marijuana, and resisting law enforcement, the final determination of charges rests with the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office (MCPO), which has yet to decide on formal indictments for any of the individuals arrested as part of this case, in line with due process, these persons are considered innocent until proven guilty.
