INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Midwest Food Bank Indiana has acquired 8.45 acres of land to build a new facility expected to serve hundreds of thousands of Hoosiers.

The property is located at 6400 S. Belmont Ave. in southern Indianapolis, just south of the southside I-69/I-465 interchange.

Midwest Food Bank Indiana announced the acquisition Thursday, saying the new facility will take 18-24 months to build. It still needs to raise $2 million to fully fund the project…
