INDIANAPOLIS — Some kids build model planes. Others build LEGO sets. Fourteen-year-old Elijah Goar builds scares — at least the mechanical kind.
On the city’s south side, traffic on Shelby Street slows this time of year as neighbors stop to see “Nightmare on Shelby,” Goar’s homegrown haunt featuring animatronics arranged across his front and back yards.
“This is Nightmare on Shelby. It’s filled with over 250 animatronics,” Goar said.
