Man claims self-defense in deadly Indianapolis gas station stabbing

INDIANAPOLIS — Tyron “Ty” Holder is still in the hopsital recovering after being stabbed in his right side outside an Indianapolis gas station on Oct. 29.

As 13News previously reported, officers responded to a report of a person stabbed at the Speedway gas station at Kentucky Avenue and West Street, just west of Lucas Oil Stadium, around 10:20 p.m. Oct. 29. At the scene, they found Holder and another man who had been stabbed.

Holder says he was on the job for the United States Postal Service and stopped at the gas station because it’s the only one open at that time of day on his route.

Holder claims a man was in the gas station, causing problems and intimidating others…
