INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A 19-year-old Indianapolis man is set to be formally charged Thursday as the third suspect in a fatal shooting in January on the city’s northeast side, according to police and online court and jail records.
Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department announced Tuesday that Malachi Wells was arrested Monday on charges of murder and robbery in connection with the homicide of Jarrell Pryor, 26, on Jan. 25 in the 4900 block of Primrose Avenue. That’s in the Bellaire housing addition, just a couple of blocks east of Arsenal Park.
As News 8 reported in April, Alexis Hawkins, 20, and Brian Winston Jr., 19, were arrested on murder and attempted robbery charges. Hawkins was arrested by both IMPD and the U.S. Marshals Service in the 2700 block of Pixel Drive.
