Man convicted for July 2024 murder on Faris Avenue
INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — A man has been convicted for a July 2024 fatal shooting on the city’s northeast side, according to the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office (MCPO).
The MCPO announced Thursday that Reggie Deshawn Horton has been convicted in the 2024 murder of Dartanian Cole. Horton was also found guilty of unlawful possession of a firearm by a serious violent felon and the habitual offender sentencing enhancement after a three-day jury trial.
On July 8, 2024, Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers were dispatched to an apartment complex in the 6800 block of Faris Avenue on a report of a person shot. That is a residential area on the city’s northeast side. Officers arrived and found Cole suffering from gunshot wounds…
