Wabash Valley – Commuters in the Wabash valley awoke to a surprise yesterday morning. After snow showers most of the day Sunday the temperatures stayed warm enough for the snow not to stick. Sunday night when the temperature dropped into the mid 20’s the water from the rain and snow mix froze on the streets. Snow began to fall overnight and by the morning rush hour about an inch of snow covered the ice causing school closings and delays in the area. The Indiana State police reported many slide offs on I-70 including a semi rollover at the 15 mile marker westbound, west of the Brazil exit. The Terre Haute police had to shut down Margaret Ave. at the overpass due to trucks and cars not being able to pull the hill. The Vigo County Sheriff office responded to 27 vehicle…..
