Docs: Driver in deadly crash was speeding with no license after celebrating victim’s birthday

INDIANAPOLIS — The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department is looking to arrest a man they say was speeding without a driver’s license, after drinking, when he caused a deadly crash in September.

On Wednesday, the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office formally charged 28-year-old Emerson Blanc with reckless homicide, criminal recklessness and operating a car without a license, causing death. At the time of this article’s publication, online records show an active warrant for Blanc.

Police say Blanc was one of two men hurt in a crash that killed 33-year-old Nerline Saint Fleur while they were all out celebrating her birthday.
