Indianapolis man arrested in Vanderburgh County over fraudulent business

HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – An Indianapolis man was arrested in Vanderburgh County on Wednesday after authorities say he opened a fraudulent bank account under a local woman’s name.

According to an affidavit, authorities were alerted to the fraudulent activities after a woman reported that she received a letter in the mail stating that a business in her name had been approved for a line of credit through a bank. However, the woman told authorities that the business was not a real company. The woman also reported that the bank advised $7,800 had been spent on an account associated with the fake business.

Authorities say the application from the bank was linked to Daquan Davis, 31. An affidavit noted that Davis had a previous arrest for fraud and identity deception in Kokomo in 2023…
