Repeat shoplifter leads police on chase until tires blown out

JOHNSON COUNTY, Ind. — An Indianapolis man, accused of stealing thousands of dollars of merchandise from Kohl’s during repeat shoplifting incidents, led Franklin police on a chase that ended in his arrest after officers blew out his vehicle’s tires with a spike strip.

Deanglo Mcgee, 34, faces charges in Johnson, Marion and Hendricks counties in relation to his shoplifting streak. Mcgee’s charges range from theft and resisting arrest as Level 6 felonies to numerous misdemeanors.

According to court documents, Mcgee was arrested on Nov. 14 in Franklin after a brief police chase. Officers were called to the Kohl’s on Mallory Parkway on a report of a theft. Employees pointed out the suspect, later identified as Mcgee, who was getting into a gold Buick LeSabre…
