Docs: Fired gas station employee returns with a gun to steal cigarettes, lotto tickets

INDIANAPOLIS — A woman who was fired from a north Indy gas station for stealing is now under arrest for armed robbery after allegedly returning to the store with a gun and taking thousands of dollars worth of cigarettes and lotto tickets.

Shalina Hill was fired over the summer from a Village Pantry on W. 86th Street after police were called to investigate an “employee theft incident.” She had reportedly stolen over $2,000 worth of lottery scratchers in July. A police report was filed, and Hill was let go from the gas station.

Then, on Aug. 26, IMPD officers were called to the same Village Pantry to investigate an armed robbery. An employee told officers that a “heavy-set woman” wearing all black had walked in through the back door and started pointing a “shiny black handgun” at the workers…
