Report: House Speaker Mike Johnson to participate in meeting with Indiana lawmakers

INDIANAPOLIS — A new report from Politico indicates Mike Johnson, Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives, will participate in a conference call with Indiana lawmakers on Saturday.

The reported conference call will come just days before Indiana’s house of representatives will convene to discuss the possibility of redrawing the state’s congressional maps mid-decade. The Indiana House of Representatives is expected to talk redistricting as soon as Monday.

Questions still remain about whether or not the Indiana House of Representatives’ conversations will result in new congressional maps being passed. In recent weeks, Indiana Republicans have indicated that they may not have the votes required to pass new maps…
