Fishers woman says she set house on fire and stabbed herself

FISHERS, Ind. — A Fishers woman admitted to police that she set a house on fire and stabbed herself.

On Saturday, Fishers police and the Fishers Fire Department responded to a residential fire in the 12000 block of Courage Crossing. Upon first responders’ arrival, two people exited the residence in question — a woman with a stab wound and an unharmed juvenile.

According to FPD, officers were not sure how the woman was injured, so they searched the house but found no one else inside. The woman later told investigators that she stabbed herself and set the fire.

FPD and FFD are continuing with a coordinated investigation into this incident, with no additional information available at this time…
