Man killed after shooting inside Fishers bar

FISHERS, Ind. – A man died after a shooting inside a Fishers bar early Monday morning.

Officers were dispatched to the 14000 block of Mundy Drive around 2:45 a.m. Monday. The address comes back to Britton Tavern.

According to Sgt. Angela Ellison with the Fishers Police Department, a man died and another man was in custody. She didn’t have information on what led to the shooting, although she confirmed it happened inside the tavern.

In a late morning update, Fishers police identified the suspect as 31-year-old Maclean Murt, who was arrested on a preliminary murder charge. He was taken into custody at the scene, police said, and booked into the Hamilton County Jail at 11:40 a.m., according to jail records.
