Marion Co Public and Private Schools Awarded $480 Million

Marion County public and private schools have been awarded a substantial grant of $480 million. The funding comes from the Lilly Endowment Inc., a private philanthropic foundation established in 1937 by J.K. Lilly Sr. and his sons Eli and J.K. Jr. The foundation supports community development, education, and religion, with a special focus on its hometown, Indianapolis, and home state, Indiana.
