Indiana families to get energy bill help from Duke Energy

Duke Energy Indiana is dedicating $320,000 to help customers struggling with energy bills this winter. The Share the Light Fund, supported by Duke Energy shareholders and contributions from customers and employees, provides financial assistance to those in need.

Duke Energy partners with the Indiana Community Action Association to distribute funds to qualifying customers for energy bills, deposits, and reconnection charges. Eligibility depends on income, family size, and available resources. Customers can receive up to a $300 credit annually.

“Each year, more than 2,600 Indiana households receive assistance with their energy bills through Duke Energy’s Share the Light Fund,” said Ed Gerardot, director of the Indiana Community Action Association. “This support from the company is truly a gift.”…
