INDIANAPOLIS — The City of Indianapolis will be opening a single men’s overflow shelter on Thursday night due to inclement weather.
According to the Indianapolis Office of Public Health and Safety, West Morris Church is located at 2302 West Morris Street and will open at 6 p.m. and close at 8 a.m. on Friday.

The City will follow temperature guidelines to activate its overflow shelters. If the temperature dips to 25 degrees, a 15-degree windchill or if there is precipitation with a sub-25-degree windchill, announce by 8 a.m. each day if the shelter will be open.
