INDIANAPOLIS — Five people have been arrested on various gun and drug charges in Indianapolis.
In early December, IMPD said Indiana Crime Guns Task Force (ICGTF) detectives were made aware of possible drug activity at a home in the 9000 block of East 39th Place, near North Post Road and East 38th Street.
Police said they were able to get enough evidence to serve a search warrant at the home on Monday, Dec. 8, and they ended up seizing:
- Six guns, including two guns reported as stolen
- 27 grams of suspected heroin
- 52 grams of suspected fentanyl
- 12 grams of suspected methamphetamine
- 18 grams of suspected cocaine
- 184 grams of marijuana
- Various items used for producing, packaging and distributing drugs
Five adults were arrested at the home and charged with:
- Suspect #1 – Unlawful possession of a firearm by a serious violent felon, dealing a narcotic drug over 10 grams, dealing methamphetamine over 10 grams and maintaining a common nuisance.
- Suspect #2 – Unlawful possession of a firearm by a serious violent felon, dealing a narcotic drug over 10 grams, dealing methamphetamine over 10 grams, maintaining a common nuisance and an outstanding warrant for drug dealing charges.
- Suspect #3 – Unlawful possession of a firearm by a serious violent felon, possession of a narcotic drug, visiting a common nuisance and arrested on an outstanding warrant for a parole violation.
- Suspect #4 – Warrant arrest for resisting law enforcement.
- Suspect #5 – Possession of a narcotic drug, visiting a common nuisance and an outstanding warrant for possession of a narcotic drug.
