INDIANAPOLIS — An Indy woman will serve three years behind bars after she was convicted of assaulting her neighbor with a hammer during a heated dispute over $20 earlier this year.
The Marion County Prosecutor’s Office announced on Thursday that Olivia Colbert was sentenced to four years, with three of those being served in the Indiana Department of Correction and one year suspended to probation. She also received two more years of probation for two other unrelated cases.
Colbert learned her sentence after she pleaded guilty to battery by means of a deadly weapon, which is a level 5 felony.
Investigation, arrest
