IMPD responds to over 100 crashes as winter storm brings Indy area to subzero temps

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — The dangerous cold from Saturday’s storm has slammed central Indiana with all things from icy roadways to snow covered roads and subzero wind chills.

In the 7 a.m. hour Sunday, the actual temperature was –2 degrees. Many roads across Indianapolis are still covered with snow and ice.

Since the snow started Saturday morning, IMPD says it has responded to at least 111 vehicle crashes, 21 slide offs, and 15 disabled vehicles…
