New college acting class helping students with learning-related disabilities

INDIANAPOLIS — The University of Indianapolis is introducing a new acting class to help students with learning-related disabilities.

“We decided to devote an entire class to students in the Build program to work on social skills, creativity, interpersonal development and it’s been really rewarding,” said Grant Williams, the assistant professor of theatre who teaches the class.

Theater 130 opens up a world of possibilities for students in the Build program which started back in 1990 to help students with any kind of learning-related disability. Now, thirty years later, entire classes are being dedicated to these students…
