Ribbon cutting held for new Indiana State Police laboratory

VANDERBURGH COUNTY, Ind. (WFIE) – Indiana State Police celebrated a ribbon cutting for their new forensics lab in Vanderburgh County after outgrowing their old space.

The new laboratory is twice the size of the old lab. It will give officials a dedicated forensics space compared to cramped make-shift solutions in their previous space.

The new building has a dedicated crime scene area which they did not have in the old building. Included with these additions are a crime scene garage and crime scene lab. The new facility also includes rooms specific to gunshot residue analysis and a tank room where they can recover projectiles in a water tank…
