An Indianapolis mother, Ashley Yunya Yarrell, aged 36, was pronounced dead after suffering trauma-related injuries early Monday morning, as reported by the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department. Officers were called to an incident just before 2 a.m. on Indy’s east side in the 7500 block of South Village Way, following a disturbance, per information from FOX59.
Police found Yarrell critically injured and transported her to the hospital, where she later died. The Marion County Coroner ruled her death a homicide. A juvenile, who was unharmed, alerted a neighbor by saying, “They killed my mom,” prompting the call to authorities, according to WISHTV and WIBC.
