INDIANAPOLIS — A man faces a felony charge after police say he climbed up the statue at Monument Circle in downtown Indianapolis during an incident on Christmas Eve.
Officers were called just after 6 p.m. on Dec. 24 to the south spoke of Monument Circle on report of a man climbing up the Soldiers & Sailors Monument. Upon arrival, they found a man, later identified as Kallen Walker, hanging onto the structure and losing his grip.
Walker, 29, reportedly refused to come down when officers initially responded to the scene. After some back-and-forth, Walker began his descent but was unable to safely get to the bottom…
