INDIANAPOLIS — Hoosier families on SNAP will not have the opportunity to take advantage of the federal SUN Bucks program next year.
The Indiana Family and Social Services Administration (FSSA) Secretary Mitch Roob said Monday that the state would need to find an additional $5-7 million dollars it doesn’t have to administer the program.
“We don’t have the money to run the food stamp program as it is at this point,” Secretary Roob said. “We’ve got to find $35 million more to run the food stamp program next fiscal year. We don’t know where that’s going to come from.”…
