Docs: Indianapolis man linked to armed robbery through tracking device, cash found in rectum in jail

INDIANAPOLIS — An Indianapolis man was taken into custody after a tracking device reportedly linked him to an armed robbery of a dollar store on the east side of Indianapolis.

Following his arrest, the man was allegedly found with more than 60 bills in his rectum by jail staff.

According to court documents, 32-year-old Earl Windham was charged in Marion County with:

  • One count of armed robbery, a Level 3 felony
  • One count of unlawful possession of a firearm by a serious violent felon, a Level 4 felony
