One person injured following shooting incident in Indiana

INDIANA — Police are investigating after a teenager was injured in a shooting early Sunday morning on Indianapolis’ near north side.

According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, officers responded just before 3:30 a.m. on Jan. 4 to a report of a walk-in shooting victim at IU Methodist Hospital. When officers arrived, they found a male teenager suffering from a gunshot wound. Police said the victim was listed in stable condition.

Investigators later located a crime scene in the 3600 block of North Kenwood Avenue, near the intersection of West 36th Street and North Illinois Street. Details about what led up to the shooting have not been released, and no suspect information was immediately available…
