INDIANAPOLIS — The body of a missing Broad Ripple teen, Robert “RJ” Williams, was found on Saturday afternoon.
According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, around 1 p.m., an officer was randomly conducting a drone search in the 6300 block of Westfield Boulevard.
During that search, a body was found submerged in about six feet of water. Indianapolis Fire Department divers assisted with recovering the body that was later identified as Robert “RJ” Williams.
“While this is not the outcome we hoped for, we are thankful for the tireless efforts of our detectives, our partners at the Indiana Department of Natural Resources (DNR) and the IFD, and the many community members who came forward with information.” IMPD PIO Officer Drew Brown said, “Their dedication and cooperation were instrumental in bringing closure to this case.”…
