Porter County, IN – Drivers across Northwest Indiana are being urged to prepare for hazardous travel conditions as a significant snow system moves in beginning Wednesday morning and lasting into Thursday evening.

According to the Indiana State Police – Lowell Post, the region has not seen major snowfall in more than a month, but this system is expected to bring heavy accumulation, strong winds, and reduced visibility, especially in Porter and LaPorte counties
