Northern Indiana and southwest Michigan are bracing for a significant lake-effect snow event as a blast of Arctic air pushes into the region.
The combination of accumulating snow and strong winds could produce blowing and drifting snow, making travel dangerous on east-west roads, according to the National Weather Service in Indianapolis.
