5 children, 2 adults injured in crash on I-465 in Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS — Indianapolis police say five children and two adults have been hospitalized after a Friday afternoon car crash on I-465 that appears to involve a box truck.

Officials first confirmed just after 12:50 p.m. that a crash had occurred on Interstate 465 northbound near the entrance ramp from the Sam Jones Expressway to 465 southbound. Indiana State Police and local medics responded to the scene.

Around 4 p.m. Friday, Sgt. John Perrine confirmed that seven people were injured in the crash: five children and two adults. They were all taken to the hospital in unknown condition…
