INDIANA — A Fulton County couple died from carbon monoxide poisoning in their home, according to the county coroner.
The Fulton County Coroner’s Office said Maurice Lewis and Barbara Sue Lewis were found dead Tuesday by a family member. The coroner said the couple had been deceased for only a few hours when they were discovered.
Carbon monoxide is a colorless, odorless, and highly toxic gas produced by fuel-burning sources commonly found inside homes, including furnaces, fireplaces, and space heaters. The coroner said she believes the couple did not have a carbon monoxide detector installed in their home…
