Indianapolis man convicted in fatal hit-and-run case

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — An Indianapolis man was convicted Monday for his role in a fatal hit-and-run in May 2024, Marion County Prosecutor Ryan Mears announced.

Jerry Alexander, 45, was found guilty of a mid-level felony count of leaving the scene of an accident resulting in the death of Roy Hodges Jr., 47, following a one-day court trial. His sentencing was set for Feb. 25 in Marion Superior Court 21.
