Man arrested for fatal hit-and-run on city’s east side

INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — After his family members urged him to, a man turned himself in Tuesday after striking a pedestrian with his car and killing him.

25-year-old Jevontae Wilkins was driving near the 3400 block of Shadeland Avenue, off East 34th Street, on Monday night when he struck an adult white male.

Wilkins immediately fled the scene…
