‘He is a dumb criminal’: Man pleads guilty to murder after surveillance footage showed him dancing around shooting victim

INDIANAPOLIS — An Indy man will serve over 40 years behind bars after he was found guilty of murdering an individual during a robbery two years ago on the city’s near west side.

The Marion County Prosecutor’s Office announced on Thursday that Kyis Glasper has been sentenced to 45 years in the Indiana Department of Correction for his role in the 2024 killing of Kiyon Davidson. As part of the plea deal, the state dismissed murder and robbery resulting in serious bodily injury charges that were pending against Glasper. He has 596 days of jail credit.

MCPO noted that the case also involves Dewan Jackson, who faces felony counts of murder and robbery resulting in serious bodily injury. His case is currently pending. Online court records indicate his jury trial is scheduled to begin on March 2 in Marion Superior Court 21.
