Indianapolis Teen Arrested on Suspicion of Making Threats Against Center Grove High School

An 18-year-old was arrested on suspicion of making threats against Center Grove High School, as Indiana law enforcement agencies worked jointly in a rapid response effort that led to the early morning custody today. According to FOX59, the arrest involved the collaborative efforts of multiple local police departments.

Adrian Abundio-Valente, whose connection to the school was not immediately clear, was taken from his home on Breen Court in Indianapolis. Johnson County Sheriff Duane Burgess was determined to quickly act on the case after threatening comments surfaced on social media. “Law enforcement officers involved in this investigation worked throughout the night to locate and arrest an individual who posted threatening comments on a social media platform directed at Center Grove Schools,” Sheriff Burgess stated, as quoted in a release cited by WISH-TV.

The threats caused “school staff, students and families in fear,” said the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office, affirming a zero-tolerance stance against such actions. “Threats against our schools, our students, and our educators will not be tolerated in Johnson County,” the sheriff’s office said in a statement, describing the suspect’s actions as “unacceptable and criminal,” in comments reported by WRTV…
